The idea behind grounding is that the earth’s surface contains a natural supply of electrons, which are negatively charged particles that can neutralize positively charged free radicals in the body. By grounding yourself, you can help to reduce inflammation, improve circulation, boost immunity, and reduce stress. I have watched several videos of people testing their blood before and after grounding. The healing effects are undeniable. There are several ways to practice grounding:
- Walk barefoot on the earth—this is one of the easiest ways to ground yourself. Simply take off your shoes and walk, stand, or sit on grass, sand, or dirt with your bare feet.
- Use grounding mats or sheets—these are special products that are designed to connect you to the earth’s surface while indoors. They typically contain conductive materials that allow you to transfer electrons from the earth to your body. I used to think these were “woo woo” until I tried a grounding mat. You must try it for yourself to understand.
- Swim in natural bodies of water—if you have access to a natural body of water, such as a pond, lake, or ocean, swimming in it can be a great way to ground yourself.
The benefits of grounding are numerous and include the following just to name a few:
- Reduce inflammation—grounding has anti-inflammatory effects in the body, which can help to reduce pain and improve overall health.
- Improve sleep—grounding improves sleep quality and reduce insomnia.
- Boost immunity—grounding helps boost immunity by increasing the activity of white blood cells that we rely on to help to fight off infections.
- Reduce stress—grounding helps reduce cortisol levels, which is the hormone produced in response to stress.
What do you think about this concept? Do you want to try it? I can tell you with direct, personal experience that grounding is amazing. The talking heads will tell you differently and laugh at me in the process. I dare you to secretly give it a go on your own healing journey.
